We’ll keep the setup simple and work around what they’re comfortable doing on the day, whether that’s tummy time, sitting, crawling, standing or simply interacting naturally with you. We can use suitable props, outfits and simple styling where appropriate, but the focus stays on your baby’s personality and the stage they’re at right now.
What should my baby wear for a milestone photography session?
Simple, comfortable clothing usually photographs beautifully and helps keep the focus on your baby. Soft colours, neutral tones and outfits without large logos or very busy patterns tend to work particularly well. You’re welcome to bring a change of outfit if you’d like a little variety, and we can talk through colours and styling beforehand so everything works nicely with the setup we’re planning.
Can parents or siblings be included in a milestone photography session?
A milestone session is centred around your baby, but we can also include parents, siblings or both in a few photographs, creating the opportunity to capture some lovely connections together as a family. We can talk this through beforehand and plan the session so everything works comfortably within the studio. If you’re hoping for a wider selection of family groupings and photographs of everyone together, a dedicated Family Photography session may be the better option.
How long does a baby milestone photography session last?
Our baby milestone photography sessions last up to 60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to capture your little one’s personality and special milestones. Every session is relaxed and baby-led, allowing time for cuddles, feeding, settling and little breaks whenever needed. We work at your baby’s pace, keeping them comfortable and happy throughout the session rather than rushing to get the perfect photograph.
What happens after your baby milestone photography session?
After your session, we’ll carefully go through the photographs and select the strongest images to edit. Each chosen photograph will be finished with a natural, polished look, keeping skin tones, colours and details soft and consistent. Once your gallery is ready, we’ll get in touch and explain how you can view your finished photographs and choose the images or products included with your session.
