Our approach is centred around capturing your wedding as it naturally unfolds. Rather than spending the day constantly stopping you for posed photographs, we’ll look for the genuine moments — the laughter, nerves, reactions, hugs, glances and little things happening around you that help tell the full story of your day. We’ll still happily include any traditional couple, family or group photographs you want, but the overall feel will stay relaxed, natural and led by what matters most to you both.

What matters most to you comes first

Every couple is different, so we don’t believe in following a rigid shot list or forcing your day into a set formula. Before the wedding, we’ll talk through the people, moments and photographs that matter most to you, including any family or group pictures you definitely want. That way, we can make sure the important photographs are covered while still leaving plenty of room for the day to feel natural, relaxed and completely your own.

What to expect from your wedding photography

On the day, we’ll work quietly and naturally around you, stepping in with guidance when it helps and giving you space when you simply want to enjoy the moment. We’ll capture the key parts of the day, the people closest to you and the moments happening in between, without making the photography feel like it’s taking over. If there are particular group photographs or family combinations you want, we’ll plan those with you in advance so they can be done efficiently and then you can get back to enjoying your day.

Do you take formal family and group photographs?

If family and group photographs are important to you, they’re important to us too. Our overall style is relaxed and candid, but we’re more than happy to include traditional family and group photographs as part of the day. We’ll talk through the combinations you’d like beforehand so they can be organised smoothly and kept as relaxed and efficient as possible, without turning your wedding into a long photo session.

What if we don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera?

That’s completely normal, and you certainly won’t be the only couple to feel that way. We’ll keep things relaxed, give you simple guidance when you need it and avoid putting you into stiff or unnatural poses. Most of the time, the best photographs come from letting you talk, laugh, move and enjoy the moment together, so the aim is for the photography to feel easy rather than something you have to perform for.

How do we plan the photography before the wedding?

Before the wedding, we’ll talk everything through with you so we understand how your day is planned, the moments that matter most, the key people you want photographed and any details you definitely want us to capture. We’ll make notes, build a simple photography plan and create a shooting list so we know the important parts of the day and anything you’ve specifically asked us to look out for. Part of our job is to show the full story of what you’ve invested in — from the venue, flowers, dress and decorations to the people and little details that make the day yours. By planning this in advance, we can work naturally around you on the day while still making sure the important photographs aren’t missed.

Do you photograph the little details too?

Absolutely. The little details are part of the story too — the dress, rings, flowers, shoes, table settings, decorations and all the touches you’ve spent time choosing for your day. We’ll make sure those details are photographed alongside the people and moments, so your final gallery reflects not just how the day felt, but also the thought and effort that went into creating it.

Do you photograph weddings for all couples?

Absolutely. Every couple is welcome at New Beginnings Studio. Whether you’re planning a traditional wedding, a same-sex wedding, a multicultural celebration or something completely your own, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and the story of your day. The aim is simply to help you feel comfortable, enjoy the experience and have the people you love, the moments that matter and the celebration itself photographed in a way that feels natural and true to you.

What happens after the wedding?

After the wedding, we’ll take the time to carefully review the photographs, select the strongest images and edit them to keep the finished gallery natural, polished and consistent with the relaxed, candid feel of the day. Once everything is ready, we’ll let you know and provide you with access to your finished wedding gallery, where you can look back through the story of your day at your own pace.

How do we book our wedding photography?

The best place to start is to get in touch through our Contact page, give us a call or send us an email and tell us a little about your wedding plans. We recommend contacting us as early as possible, as this gives us plenty of time to get to know what you’re planning and prepare properly for your day. However, if your wedding is coming up at shorter notice, please still get in touch — we may still be able to accommodate your date. Once we’ve confirmed your date is available, we can talk through everything together and explain the next steps for securing your booking.

Coverage may include bridal or groom preparations, the ceremony, reception, speeches and celebrations, depending on your wedding schedule.

That’s why every New Beginnings Studio wedding photography package includes a complimentary personal pre-wedding consultation.

It’s an opportunity for us to hear about your plans, get to know you as a couple and understand the photographs that matter most to you.

We’ll discuss your wedding timings, locations, important family photographs, special requests and the moments you’re particularly looking forward to.

Whether you love being in front of the camera or feel a little camera-shy, our aim is to help you feel comfortable and relaxed.

We want you to enjoy your wedding day while we capture your memories naturally, without turning your celebration into one long photoshoot.

Optional Extras

Pre-Wedding Engagement Photography — £150

Approximately 60 minutes | 15 edited digital photographs

A relaxed photography session before your wedding, giving you the opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy some lovely photographs together.

What’s Included:

Approximately 60 minutes of relaxed couple photography.
A mutually agreed outdoor location, ideally around Rotherham or Sheffield.
15 individually edited, high-resolution digital photographs.
Private online gallery to view and download your images.
The opportunity to get to know your photographer before the wedding.

If the weather isn’t suitable, we’ll discuss rearranging your outdoor session or using our studio where appropriate.

Additional Wedding Photography — £125 per hour

Sometimes the celebrations last a little longer than planned, or you may decide you’d like us to capture more of your special day.

Additional photography coverage is available at £125 per hour, subject to availability.

This includes professional editing of the photographs captured during the additional coverage.

We recommend arranging additional hours in advance wherever possible.

Booking Your Wedding Photography

A £100 booking fee is required to secure your wedding date and is deducted from your chosen package price.

The remaining balance is payable 14 days before your wedding.

Your booking, payment arrangements and cancellation terms will be confirmed in your wedding photography agreement.

When Will We Receive Our Wedding Photographs?

We know how exciting it is to relive your wedding day through your photographs.

You’ll receive a complimentary sneak peek of 5–10 professionally edited photographs within 7 days of your wedding.

Your complete wedding gallery will be delivered within 6–8 weeks, and potentially sooner depending on our workload.

Every photograph is carefully selected and edited to reflect the atmosphere, emotions and memories of your special day.

The sneak peek photographs are included in your completed gallery.

The number of photographs shown in each package is an estimate rather than a guaranteed minimum. Actual numbers depend on your wedding schedule and photographic opportunities.

Do You Travel Outside Rotherham and Sheffield?

Absolutely!

Travel throughout Rotherham and Sheffield is included in all our wedding photography packages.

We’re also happy to photograph weddings across South Yorkshire and further afield.

For weddings outside Rotherham and Sheffield, additional travel costs may apply. We’ll always discuss and agree these with you before confirming your booking.
